Everything Means Everything

Ephesians 1:11 tells us that God works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will.

Approximately 90% of our secondary students participate in extra curricular activities. I haven't called around to check with other schools, but I am guessing that is a pretty large percentage of students getting involved outside of the classroom.

All the emotions, excitement and energy surrounding all the different activities provide the opportunity for parents, students and teachers to dig deeper together about how to "roll with life's punches".  How do we instill the necessity of  hard work, the building of a team, the focus on integrity?   All the while, fully relying on a perfect God who goes before our daily activities and prepares the way for the final outcome.

When prospective families ask me what makes Lincoln Christian School different than all other schools; It's simple.  The fact that Jesus Christ is  WELCOME in our halls, classrooms, stages, courts, fields and offices.   He is invited to walk with us during success, during competition and He remains constantly present in the completion of each event or activity of each and every day.   Another difference is that at any given time, you may come in and find praying parents, staff or students gathered in hallways, classrooms or locker rooms.  A constant reminder that we are dependent on the One who created us, loves us and knows what will form us into His likeness.

"Every event of your day is designed to draw you toward God and your destiny. Everything means everything.  No exceptions. Everything in your life is leading to a climactic moment in which Colossians 1:20 says, “Jesus will reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through His blood shed on the cross.”
